God's Promise

Aside from breaking a law of common sense anyway, when I saw this rainbow, I felt the urge to grab my camera.

I LOVE rainbows and always think about the promises of God spoken to Noah after the flood. Because God's promises are many, I get excited every time I come across one and tell myself, "There are so many promises to choose from!! Which one should I speak over myself today?" :)

Note: Don't try this in your car, especially when you're driving 70 mph on the freeway in the rain. :) I'm sure God chuckled to himself... "The promise you're driving under is keeping you from harm today." :)

Planning, Planning, Planning

Hello friends!

The planning is at it's thickest right now, trying to get all of the bigger details nailed before there's a bit of breathing room before the smaller details need to be taken care of. We have been so incredibly blessed by so many people who happen to have skills within the realm we need!

The site's been chosen,
Our friend Jen Manuele (www.manuelephotography.com) is going to be our photographer and we are sooo excited!
Our friend Jeff, who teaches at a culinary school is going to help out with the finger foods!
Two of Warren's aunts are going to bake our wedding treats & do the girls' hair for the BIG day!
I have my appointment for trying on my dress on the 22nd @ David's Bridal and I have a few styles chosen & one particular favorite...
Our florist and rental group have been wonderful to work with and very accommodating with our budget and needs!

I ordered our save the date postcards today, so within a month or so, I will begin sending those out! Be watching for them! :)

A night of nostalgia as I go back through my South Africa pictures. I've been home for more than a year, and the tears couldn't help but flow at the sight of my babes. :) Such a joy they were.

Living with the Peters

Living with the Peters...
The Peters are the family that I am living with currently. They are friends that I became connected with through two friends, Melina & Sonnet and the Saviours Small Group I attended with them. In August, they purchased a house with an extra room and had always said that they would love for me to come and live with them. Initially, I didn't take it that seriously until escrow closed and I was looking for someplace to relocate to. They are: Dan, Candee, Alison (9), Josh (7), Jessica (4) & Katie (2).

*Lots of storybook times (primarily at the request of little Katie when she brings out every Dr. Seuss book ever written :)
*Movies and in-house guests (Warren is a frequent visitor :)When Warren walks in the door, little Katie asks, "Where's big Katie?" When I walk in the door, little Katie asks, "Where's Warren?"
*Cute kids, silly times, good food = a great place to live. :)
